1st stint at tech development product: In 2012 Modine Designs(our former web development company) developed an injection molded case for what was once the leader in bluetooth headsets, The Jawbone.

They had a production run of 200 units and while they sold out within the first year, tech turns about every 1.5 years and made the case obsolete. Jawbone at that point had re-designed their headset to come in it's own case, making their product, the Jabberbox, go extinct. Read the story here about the rise and fall of Jawbone.

2016 - brewering opened The CEO of Modine Designs decided to open a brewery that span about a decade. Growing into three locations within the first five years with over 30 employees. Trying to manage both Modine Designs Web Development and the new business was stretching them thin. Therefore, they became very selective on which web design projects they took on. There was many challenges with managing three locations but looking back it was a great learning experience. After closing up the three locations, they directed their attention back to web development along with adding services for 3D modeling and renderings. While re-branding the old web company into Boathouse Web Development, they also focused their attention on Short Term Rental (STR) or AirBNB properties, mainly around the northwest lakes of Indiana.

2023 re-branded Modine Designs to Boathouse Web Development. Their portfolio is thin right now since of most of their old projects that they had designed for clients have been re-designed since then. They have a dedicated sales team that they brought onboard as well. But rest assured, while their portfolio is thin, they haven't declined in their knowledge of web design.
